1394A external device can't be recognized

8 \7 c- t, [; }+ p1 }/ }is there any one had experienced 1394A external device can't be recognized under OS?

I encounter this kind of issue recently.

0 W* T: _9 T/ |1 y. `OS is Vista & XP.
. B3 a# _8 y* M* J/ J7 W  L( p
1394A controller is Ricoh.
- P/ M/ Z% S) R) D6 Q7 [  G
+ G; L! T% [$ x+ `( S+ o" J0 Jthe situation is I could see the removable icon shown on the system tray but there is no device in OS device manager.

6 B) a: t' \9 jindeed there are some differents but I don't know why.

I wonder it's caused by BIOS but how to prove it?

is there any spec or document could let me refer to?
